Large-scale Moscow's Assaults Cut Power Across Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have come under increased strikes in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have resulted in electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Nine people were hurt while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and dealt with interruptions to drinking water, per reports from city officials.

Simultaneously, a minor was killed in a separate Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the southern area, based on information from area administrators.

Moscow has intensified assaults on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while officials has requested "substantial measures" from partner nations to apply pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not window dressing but strong steps - from the America, the EU and the G7 - in delivering defensive weapons and enforcing sanctions," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and several dozen missiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were striving to restore power.

A series of attacks damaged energy infrastructure and residential structures in the capital.

Multiple people hurt in the strikes on the capital have been taken to hospital, per statements from city authorities.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region endured heavy assaults throughout the evening. A young boy was killed and three other people were wounded.

The assaults follow nights of air raids in the territory, parts of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to identify.

Government officials told reporters that Russia was purposely seeking to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already affecting energy systems.

Officials stated technical personnel and officials were anticipating further attacks.
